Summary:

The Consumer Service Representative will be responsible for answering the Consumer Services line, providing effective resolution of customer inquiries, by phone. Develop comprehensive knowledge of company products. Competent in consumer communications software, customer database operations, and corporate web site(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Customer service oriented, able to project a positive image on behalf of the organization.

* Detailed with the ability to manage time effectively.

* Able to handle a large volume of daily calls effectively.

* Understand the basics of product installation and provide guidance to customers on the topic.

* Take calls from internal and external customers on the following topics:

o Product specifications

o Product warranties

o Product care & maintenance

o Installation o Subfloor preparation

o Adhesives and sundries

o Underlayment

* Provide supporting documentation for above topics via email

* Seek out assistance from other departments including Product Management, Manufacturing, Marketing and Quality Control, to better support our salesforce and customers

* Interfaces daily with both internal and external customers.

* Handle technical inquiries, provide guidance, and develop alternate solutions to problems presented

* Three years prior experience in technical support, quality control, manufacturing, product development or customer service preferred

* Must possess a high level of diplomacy, discretion, and judgment in dealing with callers

* Proficient level of skills and knowledge of computers

* Requires a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks to achieve success.

* Overtime is / may be required.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates or bachelor's degree in related field is preferred

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook), and SAP
