Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in Hilton Head, SC.

Here's what you'll do:

  • The Quality Engineer position allows the QE to focus more on technical issues.
  • Mainly to take on the Quality Management functions and assist with Quality Control functions.
  • Assure compliance with the client quality management system (QMS), program schedule, and certifications.
  • Responsible for adhering to quality requirements of customer contracts/orders and compliance with the ISO Quality Management System.
  • Technical expertise and skill are used to plan, optimize, identify Root Cause and Corrective Action, identify, collect, and analyze Manufacturing and Quality Metrics, and monitor manufacturing processes needed for production.
  • Perform the Quality Control function on incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials, which includes inspecting optomechanical devices and optical components, assuring tolerance of mechanical components.
  • Coordinate resolution of supplier problems with the Quality and Engineering departments.
  • Assist with internal audits to ensure compliance with the quality management system.
  • Assisted with document control, including document releases and updating documentation and records.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in MRP software programs.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing tools and principles.
  • Knowledge of technical plans, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Ability to interact with all departments, Vendors/Suppliers, Customers, and Auditors.
  • Effective Communication and Time Management
  • Attention to Detail
  • Effective Problem Solving

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
