The Senior Permitting Lead is responsible for supporting the management of permitting activities necessary to successfully advance Atlantic Shores' portfolio of offshore wind energy projects.
As the Senior Permitting Lead, you will work closely with the Permitting Manager at Atlantic Shores and the rest of the Development Team, the Technical and the Commercial Teams, to progress efforts associated with all aspects of project development including ports and interconnection, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and liaising with Federal, State and local government organizations on permitting and compliance monitoring for Atlantic Shores.
The Senior Permitting Lead will assist with all aspects of environmental and permitting services pertaining to Atlantic Shores, supporting general project development including contributing to a proactive HSSE approach, while recognizing and managing risks over the full lifecycle of the asset. Leading the preparation of siting studies required for permit applications and stakeholder engagement and representing Atlantic Shores with government agencies and stakeholders. The Senior Permitting Lead will report to the Atlantic Shores Permitting Manger, and may be extensively responsible for the development of one or more site assessment plans (SAPs) and constructions and operations plans (COPs) in accordance with guidelines from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and associated key federal permits including but not limited to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA); U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and the Department of Defense (DOD). The Senior Permitting Lead will also be responsible for liaising with State and Local Agencies and for managing the development of state/provincial, and local permit applications and associated compliance requirements.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel as needed to an Atlantic Shores or parent office (e.g., Houston, TX, Brooklyn, NY, Atlantic City, NJ, or Montreal, Canada) for several days at a time.[1]
Working Conditions:
80% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. As conditions allow, approximately 20% of the time is spent on site overseeing survey work as needed or meeting with contractors, in offsite workshops or visiting other Atlantic Shores or parent offices, or training.
