Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Social Worker, passionate about providing therapeutic care in a behavioral health facility? Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral is looking for you! We are currently recruiting for PRN Inpatient Counselor.

Position Summary

The Inpatient Counselor will be responsible for providing quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to patients and their families.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy.
  • Psych assessments
  • Treatment Planning

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree in a behavioral science or mental health related field required.

Experience: Clinical and administrative experience in an inpatient and outpatient mental health setting preferred. Possess general knowledge of all areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.

Age-Specific Competencies: Adults

Licensure/Certification: CPR and CPI certification training provided upon hire.

Other: Ability to relate well with treatment professionals; Ability to mobilize and coordinate staff resources; skills in dealing courteously with the public and individuals within the organization and counseling centers; organizational skills; ability to keep information highly confidential; ability to meet deadlines; basic data entry skills preferred; time management skills.

HIPAA: Has access to and adds information to the Medical Record. May only access medical record of assigned patients.
