We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist with a strong background in asbestos building inspections, lead-based paint assessments, and mold analysis to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting building inspections, indoor air quality assessments, and sampling activities to identify hazards and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of buildings and facilities for asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, and mold growth.
  • Collect samples for asbestos, lead, and mold testing in accordance with EPA, OSHA, state and/or other relevant standards and regulations.
  • Interpret laboratory results and compile detailed reports outlining findings, implications, and recommendations for remediation or management.
  • Develop and implement asbestos management plans, lead-safe practices, and mold remediation protocols.
  • Provide expert consultation and guidance to clients on compliance with local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and exposure monitoring to ensure the health and safety of workers and the public.
  • Deliver expert consultation to clients related to asbestos, lead, and mold.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and advancements in the field of industrial hygiene and environmental health.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in asbestos inspections, lead-based paint assessments, and mold evaluations.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental health and safety regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and state-specific standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and laboratory results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
  • Proficiency in using industrial hygiene equipment and software for data collection and report generation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
