How you will impact Ingevity:

• Reclaim Asphalt Pavement (RAP) testing including asphalt binder extraction and recovery
• Aggregate and RAP testing
• Aggregate and RAP batching
• Perform chemical and physical tests (ie amine value, viscosity)
• Perform corrosion tests
• Mixing and compaction of samples
• Binder testing
• Mixture testing
• Assist technical staff with laboratory experimental testing plans
• Comply with all lab and field safety expectations
• Any Ad hoc assignment designated by his line manager

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or other science-related disciplineispreferred
• In lieu of degree, hands-on industry or academic lab experiencerequired
• Intuitive problem-solving skills
• High level of attention to detail and organizational ability
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strength to safely handle 50 lb. buckets of materials
• Team player mentality and the flexibility to adapt to ever-changing priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• 6-month contract with high potential for continuation.
