Salary: The expected salary range for this position is $155,000 - $175,000 annually. The actual salary amount offered may vary on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or location.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Contract Manager is a strategic role responsible for oversight and management of comprehensive contract services involving ground support equipment maintenance and heavy cargo related operations across multiple locations within the United States and internationally, including Boeing's Dreamlifter Operations. This pivotal role encompasses contract compliance, incorporating risk assessment, negotiation, and legal adherence, while focusing on continuous enhancement of operational efficiency and contract process optimization, specifically tailored to Boeing's Dreamlifter Operations. The Global Contract Manager ensures the maintenance of high-standard contractual relationships and operational performance for a leading company in the aerospace sector, including overseeing the seamless integration of Boeing's Dreamlifter Operations into contractual agreements and operational processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and ensure strict adherence to service and delivery standards across all contracts, focusing on heavy cargo logistics and GSE maintenance, while managing contract performance against service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Lead global teams, including station managers and a maintenance manager, to achieve operational excellence in operations and heavy cargo handling.

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to ensure global compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations and identify areas for improvement and oversee the execution of action plans.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to refine contracts, ensuring alignment with AES's strategic objectives and operational requirements.

  • Evaluate, manage, and execute contract changes, amendments, and extensions, maintaining comprehensive documentation and communication records.

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for the corporate team, contract managers, and clients, facilitating effective communication and resolution of issues.

  • Ensure rigorous compliance with contractual obligations, leveraging Computer Maintenance Management System software for optimal contract performance tracking and reporting.

  • Attend customer meetings regularly, providing updates on operational performance, and ensuring alignment with client expectations and contractual standards.

  • Collaborate with the Global Maintenance Manager to implement and oversee preventive maintenance and corrective support processes, ensuring contractual standards are met or exceeded across multiple locations, including Boeing's Dreamlifter Operations.

  • Conduct financial assessments to identify opportunities for contract optimization, working closely with finance, operations, and sales teams to align contractual obligations with business objectives.

  • Achieve and meet key metrics to drive continuous improvement and excellence in contract management and operational performance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Logistics, or equivalent; 10+ years related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Experience in managing maintenance operations or heavy cargo logistics, particularly within the aviation industry, preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing complex contracts, with a deep understanding of aviation, GSE, and heavy cargo logistics.

  • Strong understanding and experience with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Programs and Polices, specific to Airport Handling and Cargo Operations.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing global teams and complex logistics operations, preferably in an aviation context towards achieving operational excellence and contractual compliance.

  • Proficient knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and best practices in heavy cargo logistics and GSE maintenance.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in Computer Maintenance Management Systems and familiar with aviation-specific regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Computer and office programs knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

  • High attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy in performing job-related tasks.

  • Exceptional integrity and ethics to maintain confidential information.

  • Poised and composed demeanor in high-pressure situations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.

  • Ability to work both as a team and/or independently.

  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • International and domestic travel requirements: Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to various global and domestic locations to ensure operational alignment and compliance, including holding a valid passport or the ability to obtain one for international travel.

Physical Requirements: Moderate physical demands are required to perform the essential functions of the position. Work effort principally involves sitting or standing for extended periods of time to perform work tasks, with intermittent periods of walking. May be exposed to repetitive motion and vision to monitor. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time and may occasionally be required to bend, kneel, crouch, push/pull or reach for objects such as parts, boxes, books, and/or office equipment. Work is performed in an office environment, relatively free of unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. May be exposed to loud noises, fumes, exhaust, or other odors when on shop/factory floors.
