How you will impact Ingevity:

  • Support SAP transactions associated with processing outbound shipments for the Charleston Plant and 3rd party warehouses
  • Support all aspects of load planning in SAP and related programs. Generate deliveries, toll processing and stock transport shipments, post goods issue (PGI), batch creation and confirmation, inventory adjustments, create bills of lading, print SDS, record demurrage details, support the label process, etc.
  • Monitor and coordinate all aspects of export shipments from Charleston with dray carriers, freight forwarders, booking agents, customer service, production planners, and shippers.
  • In QTS, complete and monitor EDI on railcars, ensure accurate data flow to TP&E, and follow up on pending issues to support same-day PGI in SAP, as well as move confirmations in QTS. Update QTS daily with RC weights. Communicate vital information to load center, carriers, customer service, shipping, production planners, Charleston planning, upper management, and operators to ensure timely shipments.
  • Track demurrage and other fees associated with shipment issues related to rail and truck. Compile pertinent trucking/loading/shipping issues and enter notes into the shipment in SAP for future reference in the event questions, customer complaints or extra charges occur. Confirm or deny charges in a timely manner to support company accounts payable processes.
  • Assist with managing leased wagons and updating the daily log. Daily reporting of loaded and empty drum trailers.
  • Provide night and weekend on-call Load Planning support, as needed (responsibility shared with other LPs).
  • Maintain all domestic and export bill of lading files.
  • Act as liaison between load center, customer service, shipping, production planners, and QC lab, as needed, to ensure timely shipments
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and rules, ensuring all laws are obeyed, and safety and environmental protections are practiced. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What you need to succeed:

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, or similar systems experience
  • Schedule is Sunday through Tuesday 6:00am to 4:00pm
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications required
  • Experience with SAP, QTS, or similar complex systems, preferred
  • Proficiency with relevant math calculations and spreadsheet creation is required
  • Knowledge of relevant safety and compliance policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • This role is not eligible for relocation assistance
