What you'll do

As the Sr. Director of Sales, Walmart / Sam's Club you will manage a complex customer base across two formats (Walmart Stores and Sam's Club) to deliver +15% of KIND's topline sales and operating profit. You will do this across multiple merchant and DMM desks, as well as collaborate with KIND's omni channel team to manage a growing segment of the business. This is an incredibly complex system to navigate, and the perfect candidate will possess a solid background of Category Expertise, People Management, Experience Operating in a Matrix Organization, Dealing with All Classes of Trade in the market, and a strong experience working with the internal teams across functions but not limited to Demand Planning - Finance - Shopper Marketing and Trade Management. This role will provide you with many opportunities to make a visible impact and contribute to KIND strategic initiatives.

Volume

  • You will build out and execute the annual operating plan at two of our top five retailers
  • You will execute this plan across multiple buying and DMM desks at both customers

People

  • You will work extremely close with Demand, Finance, Trade Marketing and Shopper to execute and overachieve the AOP
  • You will work cross functionally to execute this plan while keeping marketplace disruption to a minimum as well as coach and counsel other managers of smaller accounts and Canada.
  • You will manage one sales Customer Planning Manager for insights, reporting, forecasting and system optimization

Complexity

  • You will conduct innovation sessions and strategic planning sessions with these two customers that encompass several years out and conceptual thinking to grow the business and challenge KIND
  • You will champion and test new systems for KIND across reporting, Forecasting and Money Management for Continuous Improvement

You have...

  • Bachelors degree with MBA preferred
  • 5+ years in CPG at the director level with proven success
  • Expansive customer background with experience in the industry with Walmart, Target, Club and Grocery
  • Financial acumen - Skilled at Financial and P&L implications
  • Expert negotiation skills, strong multi-level Negotiation Experience

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $119,250 to $159,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
