Technical Product Development work focuses on improving or developing new products, components, equipment, systems, or processes.

How You Will Impact Ingevity:

  • Use Market feedback to design, prepare, and test new agrochemical products based on lignin, and oleochemical chemistries for target customers.
  • Provide applications test data and technical service to customers using or testing existing Ingevity products.
  • Work with plant technical team to provide chemistry and process support to current products.
  • Create technical plans for product and formulation development with minimal guidance.
  • Interface with research, business, manufacturing, regulatory, and quality functions regarding project updates and product advancement.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external customer technology groups and provide technical support including presentations to diverse audiences globally on an as needed basis.
  • Travel up to 10% including international travel.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • PhD in organic, polymer and colloidal chemistry, Minimum 3 years new product development and technical service experience in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated success in new product development in a commercial environment, through synthesis, characterization and pilot and full production scale up.
  • Experience in the Agrochemical industry.
  • Competent with chromatographic and spectrometric sample analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and creative thinking skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, and an ability to work across skill levels to effectively communicate and champion value of the work in a team environment.
  • An ability to work on cross-functional and international teams and adapt well to change in a complex corporate and market environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Role is eligible for relocation assistance.
