Summary of Job Duties:UA Rich Mountain seeks a dynamic Director of Allied Health Programs to provide strategic direction and oversight for all allied health programs. This leader will play a critical part in ensuring our programs align with industry demands, meet accreditation standards, and effectively prepare students for rewarding careers in healthcare.

Responsibilities

*Provide leadership and direction for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all allied health programs (examples: LPN, RN, Health Information Billing and Coding, Emergency Medical Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy).
*Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with accreditation standards and industry best practices.
*Lead faculty and staff in program development, including curriculum updates, assessment design, and instructional methods.
*Teach allied health courses within professional field.
*Maintain accurate scholastic records.
*Manage the allied health program budget, including securing grants and other funding sources.
*Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical partners to secure high-quality clinical/practicum placements for students.
*Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate allied health program faculty and staff.
*Champion student success by creating a supportive learning environment and fostering career development opportunities.
*Engage in recruiting opportunities to help ensure enrollments.
*Represent the allied health department on college-wide committees and initiatives.
*Stay abreast of trends and innovations in allied health professions and integrate these advancements into the curriculum.
*Oversee program compliance with state and federal regulations for allied health programs.
*Promote the allied health programs to the community and potential students.Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related allied health field (preferred) or a bachelor's degree with extensive experience in allied health education.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in allied health education, including leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and program administration.
  • Strong understanding of accreditation standards for allied health programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and secure grant funding.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
  • Commitment to student success and equity in education.
  • A valid state license in a relevant allied health field (preferred).
