Job Description

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the design, development, and technical support of new and existing machines used by Engineering forces in the maintenance and construction of tracks, bridges, and other facilities.

Principal Duties:

  • Creates 3D models and 2D drawings of new and existing machines using Siemens NX
  • Creates hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
  • Manages equipment design projects from concept to machine startup
  • Oversees production of shop-built machinery
  • Provides phone and in-person technical support
  • Acts with little immediate direction and has seven day a week responsibility requiring emergency call outs and frequent overnight travel

Job Related Experience:
Minimum Level: 0-3 years
Preferred Level: 3-5 years

Education:
Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree (BS)
Preferred Majors: Mechanical Engineering
