How you will impact Ingevity:

  • Generate critical analytical data to characterize activated carbon and related adsorbent materials
  • Support product and process development for research and development
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and troubleshooting at global manufacturing facilities
  • Maintain instrumentation and equipment, including calibration/verification, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure that they are ready to use when needed
  • Contribute to a culture of safety by using Good Laboratory Practices and Chemical Hygiene Principles
  • Understand and follow ISO/IATF Quality Management System Requirements
  • Participate in continuous improvement events

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in a physical science-based discipline + 2 Years laboratory experience is preferred or 4+ years of wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Heightened safety awareness
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and chemical hygiene principals, including Labeling, Storage, Use, and disposal of chemicals
  • High standards for data integrity and reporting
  • Compliance with safe work practices and good housekeeping
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team, including laboratory peers and scientists and engineers
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Requirements preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including instrumentation interfaces and databases
